Who We Are

Women in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) is a graduate student organization at Northwestern University. We work towards building community among graduate women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, promoting & advancing women's leadership in STEM, and sponsoring workshops & seminars focused on professional skills development for early-career women in the sciences.

What We Do

Professional Development Workshops

 

Each spring, WISER sponsors a skill workshop. Past events include:

  • Communications Workshop through the Committee on the Advancement of Women Chemists (COACh)

  • "Building Your Confidence for Successful Interviewing" Workshop, with Nadine Haupt & Alecia Wartowski

Community Building Socials

 

Join us once a quarter for an opportunity to mingle with graduate & post-doc women in chemistry over free coffee and snacks!
